One of My favourite restaurants in Scotland!

It is the Fish Shop Restaurant, Ballater in the stunning Cairngorms National Park

• I visited this restaurant with a lovey tourist from Brazil. Her request for lunch was something really tasty, fishy, local and sustainable. I knew just the spot!

Inside Fish Shop Restaurant, Ballater, Aberdeenshire

• We travelled from Cullen, a quaint seaside town on the North-East Coast of Scotland, to Ballater which is a stunning wee village in Royal Deeside.

• We hadn’t booked a table at the Fish Shop Restaurant, so we had a tiny wait in the next door pub which my guest liked; it gave us time to chat about the places we had visited during our morning tour and to look at the photos! Also, we weren’t in any rush as it was just the 2 of us!

• I had never been to this restaurant before and had heard rave reviews about it. OMG! it was so good and reasonably priced for a 2 course lunch. The ambience, decor, service and food were all exceptional. 👌

• We both had delicious veg soup followed by roasted cod.

• The restaurant has just been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award last week in Glasgow. It was even named in the Conde Nast Traveller 2024 World Hot List!😎

• I am hoping to take lots more tourists to this fab eatery in Royal Deeside in 2025.😍
